Roc des Pins embodies a modern and particularly elegant vision of the Southern Rhône. Located across the terroirs of Lirac and Tavel, the estate focuses on wines driven by balance, freshness, and purity of fruit, far from overly powerful or heavily extracted styles. The project is led by Léon de Pins, whose family has been rooted in the Southern Rhône for several generations. Today, the estate covers around ten hectares spread across the Lirac and Tavel appellations on the right bank of the Rhône River. This diversity of vineyard sites and soils — from rolled pebbles to limestone-rich terroirs under strong Mediterranean influence — allows the domaine to express several distinct facets of these historic appellations. Through Roc des Pins, Léon de Pins aims to offer a more refined and contemporary interpretation of the region. The winemaking remains precise and gentle, with limited intervention in order to preserve the character of the terroirs and the natural drinkability of the wines. The result is a range of vibrant, approachable wines that can already be enjoyed in their youth. The Lirac reds combine crunchy red fruit, delicate spice, and supple textures, making them particularly appealing at the table. The whites bring freshness and energy, balancing Mediterranean generosity with tension and precision. As for Tavel, the estate produces gastronomic rosés with depth and complexity, revealing notes of citrus, fresh red berries, and the unmistakable aromas of southern garrigue. What we especially appreciate about Roc des Pins is its ability to preserve the warm and generous identity of the Southern Rhône while bringing greater finesse and elegance to the wines. Honest, lively wines made above all for sharing and pleasure.
